Kennedys' Dublin is seeking to hire a Senior Knowledge Lawyer to lead the Knowledge Management offering and strategy in Ireland. This is a senior role where the successful candidate will be working closely with the Partnership to implement the firm's Knowledge Management.
TEAM
Kennedys Knowledge Team in UK&I is comprised of Knowledge Lawyers, Knowledge Managers,
Knowledge Advisors, Information Services professionals, and Knowledge Admins. In Ireland, the Senior Knowledge Lawyer leads the Knowledge Management offering and is supported by a Knowledge Admin.
Kennedys' Knowledge Lawyers leverage their technical expertise to support the growth and work of our market leading legal teams. They do this by providing legal and practical guidance, know-how curation services, substantive legal training and current awareness. Our KM team capitalises on the firm's knowledge by leveraging applicable technologies.

Boasting one of the largest dedicated insurance practices in Ireland, our Dublin team provides expert coverage and claims defence services to both international and domestic insurers and their insured clients.
Dublin Insurance Team is a recognised leader in Ireland's insurance market. Trusted by some of the world's largest insurers and reinsurers, they are the go-to experts for market-shaping cases—most notably the recent, once-in-a-generation, multi-billion international aviation claims managed concurrently from London and Dublin.
Dublin Liability Team offers strategic advice on the defence of personal injury and property damages claims. The team has particular expertise in employer & public liability claims, product liability, catastrophic injury and property subrogation claims.
Dublin Healthcare Team is among the foremost in Ireland. With a proven track record handling high-value, sensitive and precedent-setting cases, the team advises a broad spectrum of high-profile clients across both public and private sectors. These include state entities, globally recognised insurers, medical service providers, healthcare product manufacturer and medical professionals.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supports the Dublin Partnership in designing, implementing and leading the firm's Knowledge Management strategy.
- Supports the wider UK&I Knowledge Team driving the development of Knowledge Management strategy in the context of firmwide objectives
- Supports the Chief Knowledge Officer in the delivery of a global Knowledge Management offering
- Drafting, reviewing and maintaining precedents, models documents, templates, forms, checklists, and other know-how and knowledge assets
- Developing a knowledge sharing culture within the firm to ensure that lawyers at all levels are contributing to the sharing of knowledge in a structured way.
- Facilitating the delivery of legal training, webinars and podcasts for our lawyers. This will involve curriculum design, based on training requirements identified through working closely with the Partners, Learning and Development, and Business Development
- Liaising with the team heads / Partners to identify legal training needs for each team
- Designing and managing legal learning programmes, including programmes for:
- All lawyers on practice and procedure issues and changes in the law and/or court rules that might impact on their practice
- Junior lawyers (trainees and litigation assistants) to help them gain the knowledge necessary to best support their teams
- Supporting junior lawyers in preparing for team presentations, including by providing one-on-one feedback sessions, improving the overall standard and quality of presentations
- Managing third party providers including online legal resources and training providers
- Content creation for thought leadership initiatives such as articles, internal and client-facing updates/alerts, reports and publications, pitches, presentations and social media, collaborating closely with BD
- Monitoring global developments of legal, regulatory, market, and industry import for insights, and briefings initiatives, in collaboration with BD
- Leading practice technology projects, driving adoption and change, and demonstrating a deep understanding of key practice technologies
- Collaborating with IT on all KM driven technology and innovation projects
- Collaborating with the Risk & Compliance team to ensure best practice risk management for the firm
- May be required to have team management and supervisory responsibility, including the development of more junior team members
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
- An evident passion for knowledge management and technology
- At least five years' PQE, with relevant practical experience of Knowledge Management an advantage
- Excellent communication, written and presentation skills, with strong analytical, research, and drafting skills, and attention to detail
- Ability to articulate complex legal issues clearly and concisely
- Ability to engage with lawyers at all levels to foster a knowledge sharing culture
- Evidenced ability to build and develop relationships at all levels of the organization, including at a partnership level
