Kennedys is seeking a driven and proactive Pitch Manager to join our high-performing APAC Business Development and Marketing team. 

The Pitch Manager drives the creation of high-quality, client-focused and commercially compelling pitches across the Firm. Working closely with partners, lawyers and Business Development colleagues, the role leads complex pursuits, applies best-practice pitch methodologies, and elevates the quality and consistency of submissions and presentations.

Pitch Managers act as trusted advisers on live opportunities. They bring structure, challenge thinking, and coach teams throughout the pitch lifecycle. They take ownership of delivering each assigned pursuit effectively and contribute to continuous improvement by sharing insights, strengthening processes, and collaborating across the Global Pitch Team.

This role is part of our APAC business development and marketing team, reporting in to the Head of Business Development & Marketing, APAC. It will also work collaboratively with our Global Pitch Team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of assigned strategic, panel and high-value pitch opportunities
  • Support partners and pursuit teams through the Firm's pitch process, including planning, Go/No-Go discussions, messaging, drafting, and presentation preparation
  • Act as a trusted adviser on live pursuits, providing structure, challenge and commercial judgement
  • Ensure pitches are clearly articulated, client-focused and aligned with the Firm's agreed positioning and priorities
  • Promote quality of thinking and storytelling that adds value to each pitch proposition, differentiating Kennedys from competitors
  • Manage timelines, inputs and stakeholders to deliver high-quality outputs to deadline
  • Uphold agreed quality standards for pitch outputs, including written submissions, presentations and supporting materials
  • Coach lawyers and BD colleagues during live pursuits, helping to build confidence, capability and consistency over time
  • Provide constructive feedback on pitch performance, contributing to win/loss learning and continuous improvement
  • Share best practice, examples and lessons learned with the Global Pitch Team
  • Apply and champion the Firm's agreed pitch process, templates and guidance
  • Use pitch technology and content systems effectively to support efficiency, consistency and quality
  • Contribute to the ongoing development and improvement of pitch content by identifying gaps, outdated material or opportunities for enhancement
  • Ensure pitch activity is accurately recorded in CRM and relevant systems
  • Work closely with Business Development, Marketing, Finance and other Business Services teams to support pursuit delivery
  • Schedule and lead pitch debriefs and post-pitch reviews, helping to identify actionable improvements
  • Support Pitch Team initiatives relating to quality, training and capability-building as required

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Solid experience in a business development, pitch or pursuits role within a legal or professional services environment
  • Proven experience managing and delivering complex pitches, tenders or panel submissions
  • Experience using pitch technology or content management systems
  • Exposure to panel tenders or regulated procurement environments
  • Strong understanding of best-practice pitch processes, evaluation criteria and client-focused proposition development
  • Confidence working directly with partners and senior lawyers, providing structured advice and constructive challenge
  • Excellent writing and editing skills, with the ability to shape clear, persuasive narratives
  • Strong organisational and project management skills, able to manage multiple live pursuits simultaneously
  • Comfortable coaching others during live work, with a pragmatic and supportive approach
  • Commercially aware, with sound judgement around prioritisation and opportunity assessment
  • Collaborative, resilient and calm under pressure
