Kennedys is pleased to present this exciting opportunity for an experienced Marketing & Communications Manager to join our talented BD & Marketing team in the APAC region. 

This role will be focussed on driving the firm's marketing and communications strategy in Asia Pacific, to help build and maintain our image and reputation with clients, potential clients and potential new employees. You will provide strategic advice and support, bringing the Kennedys' global vision and brand values to life in an engaging and distinctive way.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Partner with key stakeholders to develop and implement a marketing and communications plan to build brand awareness and drive business development in APAC
  • Work with key stakeholders to develop and oversee the delivery of a comprehensive and coordinated strategic marketing & communications program to support the firm's vision and strategy 
  • Work with key stakeholders and our external PR agency to develop the firm's media relations strategy in APAC
  • Encourage and coach partners on media engagement and advise the business on media opportunities 
  • Manage the firm's regional corporate sponsorship arrangements, ensure that they are reviewed and renegotiated regularly, and ROI is tracked
  •  Encourage engagement across the business to ensure opportunities are maximised and Kennedys achieves strong brand engagement from every initiative
  • Work with colleagues in the business development team to plan and execute targeted thought leadership and marketing campaigns for our clients
  • Lead the development and production of distinctive and impactful marketing content to support the campaigns including client facing marketing materials, working across brand, design, digital, communications and events
  • Manage the region's involvement, production and distribution of publications and industry reports
  • Oversee the region's annual legal directory and award process, ensuring directory results are maximised across all communication channels and marketing materials
  • Manage the development and creation of regional content for the firm's website and social media platforms
  • Line manage the Marketing & Communications Executive, currently based in Singapore
  • Act as a mentor and coach to the broader APAC team on marketing & communication activities
  • Share expert knowledge in marketing and communications issues, trends and long-term implications for the firm
  • Support the Head of BD & Marketing, APAC, the global Director of Marketing Operations, and other key stakeholders across the firm
  • Work closely with BD&M colleagues to improve service delivery, quality and cost efficiency of the function

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • Previous experience in a marketing and communications role within a global professional services, legal, financial or insurance organisation
  • Strong influencing, negotiating and facilitation skills are essential
  • Previous experience of coaching and developing partners and teams
  • Highly organised and able to prioritise workloads, manage multiple projects and negotiate deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Comfortable working with colleagues across time zones to ensure regional/global alignment
  • Enthusiastic and optimistic attitude
  • Able to handle queries efficiently with diplomacy and tact, gaining the confidence of partners, senior lawyers and managers
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • A curious mind with a strong interest in emerging marketing, communications and digital trends that delivers tangible outcomes for the business and its clients
  • Adhere to Kennedys' core values through working relationships, attitude and behaviour
