Kennedys, a global law firm with offices throughout the US, seeks a full-time Paralegal with solid insurance litigation experience to join our team in our San Francisco Office. This is a really exciting opportunity for an ambitious paralegal to join a growing, global law firm.

Key Responsibilities

  • Draft pleadings and motions, including all trial and pretrial filings, for state and federal courts
  • Draft discovery responses, including production of documents
  • Subpoena documents (including medical records) from third parties
  • Review and summarize answers to discovery
  • Review and summarize documents, including medical records
  • Draft medical chronologies
  • Organize documents productions
  • Prepare exhibits for motions, depositions and trials
  • Coordinate expert appointments and assignments
  • Research (Westlaw) and other online sources
  • Perform jury verdict searches
  • Electronic filing

Required Skills and Experience

  • An inquisitive mind, excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communications skills
  • A thorough working knowledge of the Federal and California court systems
  • 3-5+ years of litigation and insurance coverage experience
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Paralegal Certificate from an ABA-accredited program preferred or relevant years of experience.

The annualized salary range for this role is $80,000-$100,000. However, this is contingent upon level of experience, location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
