Our Dublin Training Contract

A training contract at Kennedys marks the beginning of an exciting and rewarding career at a globally renowned law firm. During your two-year training contract, you will gain early responsibility and client contact, preparing you to handle your own caseload once you qualify.

Throughout your contract, you will gain experience across our core practice areas, including Liability Defence, Healthcare and Insurance.

With guidance from senior associates and partners, you will develop into a competent, confident and commercially minded lawyer by the end of your training contract.

Training will be provided to ensure you are supported throughout your contract. You will be assigned a "buddy" to mentor and support you throughout your journey. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to attend in-house and external seminars, while having access to a wide range of online skills and technical learning through our learning management system.

Trainee solicitors are an integral part of the Kennedys framework and our training programme is designed to develop excellent future lawyers. Many of our partners, including our Senior Partner, began their legal careers as trainees at Kennedys.

The Kennedys website hosts a number of Trainee Day in the Life Videos to give you a true insight into trainee life.

We are now recruiting trainees who are available to start working in our office in May 2025 and attend the PPC course in September 2025.

What we offer?

Kennedys offers a competitive salary and a wide range of benefits to its trainees. We will also reimburse you for your Fe1s, pay for your PPC fees and provide a thorough and structured training programme for you throughout your contract.

You may also have the opportunity to go on a client secondment.

Ready to take the next step?

We welcome applications from graduates of all disciplines—whether law or non-law. If you are determined, eager to learn and excited to contribute, we'd love to hear from you.

In your application, we want to get to know the person behind the grades to find out what sets you apart.

Applicants must be ready to commence the PPC in September 2025 and have completed all eight Fe1 exams by the end of March 2025.

Applications must be submitted via our online application form before 31 October 2024.

Please let us know if you require any reasonable adjustments or additional support in order to submit your application to Kennedys.
