Kennedys is seeking a highly motivated Client Reporting Specialist to join our Business Intelligence team, supporting our Asia Pacific offices.

You will work under the direction of the Head of Business Intelligence as part of a team of 23,all based in the UK.

Team:

Kennedys Business intelligence team are responsible for delivering valued reporting and insights to clients and to a senior internal audience. The BI team work closely with peers in Finance, BD and IT.

The team is comprised of Reporting Analysts, Business Analysts and Insight & BI Analysts who monitor and report key metrics to demonstrate insights to the business and to our clients.

Key responsibilities:

  • The timely and accurate production of weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports
  • Provide hands-on support of testing of newly built reports to ensure they meet initial requirements
  • Utilise technical knowledge of Excel and SQL to recommend changes which would improve efficiency
  • Build an understanding of data fields and data structure that are pertinent to the reporting suite
  • Ensure that all client reports requirements and report specifications are updated when appropriate
  • Build and maintain a strong rapport with Clients, Partners and Staff
  • Act as an information expert, pro-actively suggesting improvements that would enhance the current reporting suite
  • Maintain a culture of the utmost importance of data, data processes, data integrity, accuracy and cleanliness
  • Work towards achieving a Business Intelligence team that is seen as the ‘Industry best'
  • Champion the importance of data input and quality and ensure the client reporting team are viewed as a trusted data partner
  • Work collaboratively with the wider BI team to ensure consistency in approach

Required experience:

  • Previous experience in a professional services or legal environment would be highly advantageous
  • Demonstrable Advanced Excel & SQL capabilities is essential 
  • The ability and desire to work autonomously given the time-zone difference with the global team
  • Strong eye for detail - able to see patterns and trends in data sets
  • Inquisitive with a genuine interest to work  with large volumes of data 
  • Excellent communication skills and able to speak and write confidently and explain complex issues clearly and simply
  • Self-motivated and can work proactively independently or as part of a team
  • Demonstrates creative and critical thinking skills with an appetite to drive innovation
