This is an exciting opportunity for an Associate (2-4 years' PQE) to join our Melbourne office, working closely with Partners Ganga Narayanan and Mark Attard.

Working across both practices, you'll gain exposure to a broad range of insurance disputes, including personal injury, institutional abuse, medical liability, professional indemnity and general insurance matters. You'll work directly with leading Australian and London market insurers on complex, high-quality matters while developing your expertise across multiple areas of insurance law.

What you'll do

  • Manage a varied and complex caseload
  • Advise clients on liability, quantum, coverage, strategy and resolution
  • Draft pleadings, advices and correspondence
  • Work directly with insurers, clients, counsel, experts and other key stakeholders
  • Assist on complex Partner-led matters and attend mediations, settlement conferences and court proceedings
  • Support business development initiatives and contribute to a collaborative team culture

Who we're looking for

  • Associate level lawyer with 2-4 years' post-qualification experience*
  • Experience in personal injury, liability or general insurance litigation
  • Strong technical, drafting and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
  • Proactive, collaborative and commercially minded
  • Motivated to build a long-term career in insurance litigation
